Pippi's is in a fantastic location! We really enjoyed the Esplanade and could sit and admire the views of Lake Macquarie all day long. The room was quaint and sufficient for our short trip when we really just needed a place to sleep and get ready for the event we were in the area for. We didn't realise the accommodation was above a pub, but it wasn't an issue for us. If we didn't already have plans it would have been super convenient for lunch and dinner time meals. We would absolutely stay here again.

The TV didn't seem to work properly, but we really didn't spend much time trying to figure that out because we didn't have a lot of down time for TV anyway. Blackout curtains didn't fully block the morning light and the moderate stream of traffic on the Esplanade meant we were awake at 6a.m, but it's honestly the kind of place you want to enjoy from the first light of day so it wasn't an issue for us, but it may be an issue for others.

The staff members were amazing. I initially met Blake (I think) and Brodie at the bar upon checking in and their professionalism and hospitable manner were top notch. The staff at the restaurant were also above and beyond. Your staff are to be commended. The room was clean and modern and the view was lovely. You have found the most DELICIOUS Prosecco!! Don't change it!

I was in room 12 and in the corridor outside of my door was a heavy smell of cigarette smoke - no doubt coming up from the pokies area. I am a staunch non-smoker, so this was displeasing. I left the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on my door the first morning of my stay but the room was still made up - whilst the fresh made bed was lovely, I didn't want anyone to enter so I could keep my valuables safe. A bit of a 'something to note' - your ad specifies the inclusions of toilet paper and a hair dryer but not the fridge. If all rooms have the inclusion of a fridge, that would have helped me as I was planning to bring some snacks that needed refrigeration. Otherwise, all lovely and will stay again.

We love staying at Pippi’s. It’s a very welcoming and relaxed location. And it’s great value for money.

If there was only one thing I could change about the accommodation it is the overpowering fragrances that are being used mainly in the hallways when the facility is being maintained. It’s almost asthma triggering when I walk down the hallways. If this continues sadly I will find it unbearable to stay there. I have commented on this previously before the renovations when it was absolutely overbearing and eventually I couldn’t stay there However the smell buildup is starting again. Could you please please do something about this as I feel like it is actually ruining a fabulous accommodation opportunity.

I stayed at Pippi's for 10 nights, following a major surgery. Everyone was so nice and lovely! From housekeeping to the managers, bistro staff. They were all helpful and kind. The food was delicious, the bed was comfortable, the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is right across the lake so I was able to go on relaxing walks. All in all, I will definitely return and Pippi's at the Point will be my go to accommodation when I'm in NSW

Location was good. Small water view from balcony, although that was due to the room we got. Other rooms had better veiws. Had a really nice lunch, meals were large, staff very attentive and helpful. Lovely atmosphere.

Room was good for the price and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Only issue was finding Hairs on pillowslips, small bits of litter (hairball, bobby pin and food particles) on carpet. A Tea towel in the room would be great. Nothing to wipe cups and glasses with after washing and wanting to reuse.

The room was spacious with a million dollar view of the lake. The room was well equipped and very recently renovated so lovely and new. Tonnes of good things like multiple power points, nice lighting options, a table and chairs, gorgeous bathroom. My colleagues and I ate in the restaurant each evening and really enjoyed the huge variety on the menu and the friendly atmosphere.

There was room for a small couch or lounge chair. The chairs at the table were great for working but not for lounging and taking in the view. I appreciate the daily cleaning service but the deodoriser used was overpowering and still apparent in my luggage when I got home.

The location, I was attending a wedding nearby and walked back. Didn’t spend much time there but it was clean and the bed was really comfortable and amazing view of the lake. I have been to Pippi’s before for lunch and drinks and really like the bar and restaurant. When leaving I ran into a girl in the hallway who was really nice, she thanked me for staying with them, was really friendly and offered to help with my bags.

On arrival you can only pay for your room with a card. I was happy to use a card as hold for incidentals or if I broke something but would have preferred to pay for the night with cash. Not being able to do this I had to use a business card then stuff around with my accountant reconciling it.. and the girl telling me this at checkin was fairly rude about it not knowing that I had to figure out a way to do it and was considering leaving if I couldn’t..

Your Location was my Childhood - Fishing, swimming and Kyak off the Speers Point Warf...Speers Point Pool and later in life, Lake Maquarie with my own kids. Pippi's is where we always caught the Bus to and from. I am a Moderator of the Newcastle Group Page (27,000 Members) and where there are mixed reviews on Pippie's but had to experience for ourselves...We now live in Qld but travel every year to Newcastle. Our room was selected from your Web Page....the view was amazing, room was clean, comfortable but without any seating to sit and enjoy the view nor a table....these were scattered around the building where people would never use but as a decoration??? We would suggest, as did the other guests we spoke to, be placed in the rooms... Your staff we great, helpful and we entertained our friends over the 3 day stay faultlessly - thank you

Only needed seating and a table next to the window...

Ease of checking in and out, the cleaning staff, the coffee shop across the road for breakfast, the restaurant downstairs, the location was close to everything.

It didn't ruin our stay, but double glazed windows would be a great addition, particularly when the trucks are delivering right under our apartments 🤣🤣

We weren't sure if gmaps was taking us on the scenic route from Sydney but easy to find when we got to Warners Bay. Freshly decorated room and bathroom. Went through an interesting small town in the way that is possibly worth a stop. The Saturday market was a bonus

The music was right underneath our room - semi acoustic, the girl could sing, and they finished around 11pm, so not as bad as it could have been but not great for an early start either. I'd assumed guest parking but the restaurant was busy and the car park full. Worried about the car when I woke, as I was frequently woken by road racers on the side road under our window
